- Anamnesis = In-take interview
During the first consultation, your osteopath will conduct an extensive anamnesis (in Dutch) regarding the complaint, but also the patient’s (medical) history.
Your osteopath will examine the entire body. They look for and assess possible tensions in the muscles, tissues, as well as loss of motion in the skeletal system.
Examination and treatment are usually done in underwear. Of course we respect the patient privacy so if this is uncomfortable for you, please bring sports shorts/leggings.
Tension/loss of movement are removed during the treatment by means of different techniques (mobilisation, fascial techniques, manipulations, etc.), tailored to the complaint, patient and the assessed/detected imbalance .
The exact number of necessary treatments is difficult to predict. This depends on the nature of the complaint, which varies from patient to patient. The complaints are evaluated during each treatment and an assessment is made as to whether it is necessary to plan a follow-up treatment.
- Cost and Reimbursement
You do not need a referral from a doctor to consult an osteopath. A consultation lasts 1 hour, and costs €60 (new patient) or €55 (follow-up consultation).
After the treatment, you will receive a confirmation that you can submit to your health insurance fund. Depending on your health insurance , a certain percentage of x number of treatments will be reimbursed.
